A downloadable asset pack

This project is a 3D environment based on the Market Street from the Bioshock Infinite DLC ‘Burial at Sea’, and more specifically the concept by Mike Snight http://www.mikesnight.com/.

A lot of time on this project was spent trying to get the lighting right and making sure this reflects the mood and atmosphere of Bioshock. The materials in the scene were created in Substance Designer and the texturing of individual assets was done in Substance Painter. 

At the start of the project a blockout was produced with both value and colour passes. A trim sheet was one of the first elements to be created after completing the blockout and this was used throughout the scene.

Something that was particularly enjoyable with this project was working in this art style and experimenting with different texturing styles like the main Satyr Sign for example, which was hand-painted in Photoshop. 

The project was created in Unreal Engine 4 with the aim to practice skills related to composition, lighting, modelling and texture creation. The software used for this project includes Unreal Engine 4, 3DS Max, ZBrush, Substance Painter, Substance Designer and Photoshop.
